Reed(s)

Term used for single reeds, the tongue of which is attached to a frame, in which it can vibrate freely (i.e. without touching the frame); Commonly used in Southeast Asian mouth organs, such reeds occur also in several eastern Asian hornpipes; NB: Such types are also used in Accordions and mouth organs of the western type (which are often called "Harmonicas").

Usually made of metal.
